Rebuilt… As part of the Rochester & Genesee Valley Railroad Museum’s yearly track maintenance program, Scanlon’s Curve on the museum’s demonstration railroad recently received some work including the installation of some new ties, the addition of some ballast, jacking and finish tamping. Here the rebuilt curve is seen from the rear platform of Penn Central 18526.
Rebuilt and in service… After dropping of the last load of Scouts, R&GVRR #1654 and PC #18526 stop at Scanlon’s Curve to check out the recent track work and to pick up some materials left over from the project.
