Work has continued in earnest on the interior painting of NYC #2567.   The final coat of paint has been applied to the new lower walls while the panels between the windows have seen their first coats of paint applied.   Additionally, our “Window Team” has started the process of removing the reglazed windows, prepping and painting the openings and permanently installing the windows in the car.   After having their glazing replaced, the window modules were temporarily installed back into the car.   The next step in the car will see the painting of the areas under the baggage racks and the racks themselves on our way up to painting the ceiling.    Work on the car takes place during our Tuesday day and evening work sessions and our Saturday work sessions.   Please enjoy the pictures of the progress.

Looking from north to south.   The south end walls have also seen painting applied while the door is waiting for its first coat.   The white window trim remains in primer and will painted later in the project.
Other details like the toilet tank cover have also seen new paint applied to stabilize it for the future.
