Saturday, July 12: Trains at Twilight
SATURDAY ONLY! Many trolley companies across the
country once created popular amusement parks and picnic grounds to
entice more customers to ride the rails. The New York Museum of
Transportation recreates an evening at an old-time “trolley park” with
the happy sound of the calliope providing the background for authentic
trolley rides through the rolling hills of the Genesee Valley,
connecting to a diesel train at Midway for an extended ride down to the
Rochester & Genesee Valley Railroad Museum and return. Light
refreshments will be available to complete your evening out! SPECIAL HOURS 4:00 PM. to 9:00 P.M. SATURDAY. No reservations needed. Adults $10.00, Youth (3-17), Seniors (65+) $8.00
Sunday, July 13: Trolley and Track Car Rides
Enjoy a 2-mile round trip trolley ride connecting to an open-air
track car ride, linking the New York Museum of Transportation (NYMT)
with the Rochester & Genesee Valley Railroad Museum’s country depot
and railroad equipment collection. Ride the only combined trolley and
track car operation in New York State! Ticket includes admission to both
museums. No reservations needed. Adults $10.00, Youth (3-17), Seniors (65+) $8.00
Thursday, July 17: Museum Meeting at Industry Depot
Please join us for our July museum meeting at Industry Depot,
our second warm weather meeting of the season! We meet at 7:00 p.m.,
hold a brief business meeting, and then enjoy train rides on our museum
railroad! This event is FREE, and is open to anyone interested in
learning more about our museum activities.
Sunday, July 20: Baseball Day Trolley and Train Rides
traveling from city to city, to baseball fans taking the train to the
game, these two American traditions have been intertwined for more than
100 years. Kids won’t want to miss a visit from Spikes, the mascot of
our home town Rochester Red Wings.
Trolleys will meet diesel trains at Midway for the continuation of the
ride to Industry. Enjoy a 2-mile round trip trolley excursion that
