How To Visit
We are open to the public every third weekend of the month from June through December. Unless otherwise directed, board all trains at Industry Depot, 282 Rush Scottsville Road, Rush, N.Y. Purchase your tickets upon arrival at our restored country depot, enjoy a self-guided tour of our museum grounds while you wait to board our train.
Enjoy our display of historic railroad antiques and artifacts housed inside a retired baggage car. Enjoy our exhibit dedicated to the history of Despatch Shops housed inside an old ice-cooled refrigerator car. Outdoor displays include various railroad signs and markers on display, as well as a lawn and picnic tables where you can enjoy any refreshments you have packed.
The Train Ride
Board our restored vintage freight train cabooses for a ride on our museum railroad! The train will take you on a short ride up to our restoration shop where you can view more of our historic collection of vintage railroad equipment. Many of the pieces on display belonged to railroads that operated in Rochester. Friendly volunteers will be available to help answer your questions. Board the train for the return trip to Industry Depot.
