Join us on March 23, 2019, at the River’s Edge Party House for our annual R&GV Museum Banquet featuring John Connelly! Our featured guest speaker is Vice President of Operations at Genesee & Wyoming’s Northeast Region, which includes the Rochester & Southern Railroad, Buffalo & Pittsburgh Railroad, and the South Buffalo Railroad. Drawing upon his thirty year career in transportation, John will recount the history of Genesee & Wyoming and the highlights of his career as we celebrate our museum’s achievements from the past year.

Doors open at 6:00 p.m. for cocktail hour (cash bar), dinner seating begins at 7:00 p.m. Award presentations, guest speaker, and dessert service follow buffet dinner. Proceeds from the event go towards funding our various museum activities and restoration projects. Seats are limited, so order your tickets today!

John ConnellyABOUT OUR GUEST SPEAKER: John Connelly is Vice President of Operations at Genesee & Wyoming’s Northeast Region. John leads the daily operations, outside of Commercial and Finance, within the Northeast Region driving superior safety performance as well as customer service.

John has enjoyed a career transportation industry for thirty years. Starting with Conrail in 1989 as a brakeman, John joined CSX as part of the integration of Conrail in 1999 and was promoted to various positions of increasing responsibility. In March of 2015 John joined Genesee & Wyoming as a General Manager handling transportation management for the Rochester & Southern Railroad, Buffalo & Pittsburgh Railroad, the South Buffalo Railroad. In early 2016, John took on the role of Vice Preisdent-Transportation for the Northeast Region, and eventually the position of Vice President-Operations Northeast Region, which he holds today.

John resides in Spencerport, N.Y. with his wife of twenty eight years, Susan, and their three children. When he’s not spending time with his family, John is an avid hockey fan.
