"Departing Sodus Yard West..." (329K MP3)
You're on board the Fall Foliage Express as Ontario Midland Railroad ALCO S-4 #3 departs west from Sodus Yard for the passenger loading platform at Rotterdam Road in Sodus on October 20, 2002. Includes a whistle crossing of Belden Avenue.

"Heading South..." (241K MP3)
It is a cold winter night. LA&L. ALCO C425 #425 and ALCO C420 #420 are southbound along the former Erie Railroad Rochester Division headed toward Avon Yard where they have some switching to do before heading to Lakeville. The railroad comes close to East River Road at one point and crosses a private driveway with two entrances. We hear them approach, whistle for both crossings and pass us by at track speed.

"Departing Avon yard..." (374K MP3)
LA&L ALCO C425 #425 and ALCO C420 #420 have just brought their train into Avon yard from Rochester. A quick switch and the road train is reassembled. We pick up with the two big ALCO's idling next to the Avon Erie Railroad depot only to quickly have them start to lift their train up the grade toward Lakeville.

In memorial to the events of September 11, 2001, Eastman Kodak Company and Trigen Energy Corporation, which runs Kodak's power plants, blew the Kodak Park steam whiste twice at two different times corresponding to events of the year before. The whistle is located on top of one of Kodak's power plants. It is a 3 bell, gong whistle that stands nearly five feet tall. It is the original plant whistle, but is now only blown for special occasions.
